A prosthesis consisting of a gel-like or fluid material (frequently silicone or saline) in a flexible sac, implanted behind or in place of the breast tissue in reconstructive or cosmetic surgery.

Breast implants are distinguished from naturally big breasts by being more spherical, often closer together, generally sitting noticeably higher on the chest, and don't sag like natural breasts. Breast implants tend to be depicted as especially large relative to body proportions, and more rigid, potentially resembling balloons.

As similar looking breasts in art can be the result of idealized, simplified, or poor anatomy, this tag shouldn't be used unless there's a reasonable assumption or explicit evidence of the breasts being the result of implants specifically.

• fake breasts - Fake, often ridiculous objects stuffed into clothes to give the appearance of larger breasts
• breast padding - Small, gel-like objects placed beneath clothing and in front of smaller breasts, designed to give them a natural and slightly larger appearance
