This tag applies to when a character's heartbeat is audible in an animation, or displayed through images or text within a still image.

• A heartbeat can be conveyed visually by pictographics, such as a cartoon heart with motion lines around it, emanating from the character's body
• heartbeats can be displayed through an electrocardiogram
• most often, heartbeats are conveyed through sound effects in text (e.g. "bu-bump bu-bump" "ba-thump")
• written sound effects may be joined by emanating lines and possibly heart symbols coming from the character's chest, or in some cases, a character's throbbing genitalia, indicating blood pumping into the organ
