The "hourglass figure" is a classic body type in fashion, thought to be desirable and especially feminine. In art, in-shape female characters will have an hourglass figure, which is often exaggerated, sometimes with an unrealistically narrow wasp waist.

Tagging Notes

To fall under hourglass figure a character MUST have:

• Wide hips
• A small waist - this is often untagged unless notably narrow
• A bust line that is sizeable and reasonably comparable their hips

• Characters with hourglass figures will usually have medium breasts or big breasts
• A character with an hourglass figure should NEVER be obese, and rarely, if ever overweight
• A character may have huge thighs that makes the character more of a "bottom heavy" hourglass shape, but their waist and shoulders should still match in width
• Characters with exaggerated hourglass figures will have hyper breasts, huge hips or hyper hips, and a wasp waist
