About

Veilhounds are a race of canine demon fae from planet Cosmion.
Characterized by their likeness to hellhounds and the "crown flame" that hovers over their forehead and between their horns.

ANATOMY

Variants

There are three main variants of veilhound; garoun, lupen and vulfen.

Though, after many thousands of years of interbreeding, most individuals are a mix of these.

Crown Flame

Every veilhound has a flame that floats between their horns.
They can flicker lazily, or more aggressively; even igniting dramatically when using magic, excited or angry.

Starfire is bright and vivid, giving off light.

Ravenfire is dark, seeming to absorb light.

Arcfire is flame that behaves much like electricity.

Torrentfire is flame that behaves much like water.

CULTURE & planet

geography

Cosmion has two countries separated by hemisphere.
Erebos and Asteria.
The planet has incredibly diverse biomes but is generally hot, with ice and snow only occurring at the poles and extreme altitudes.

The largest cities are Elehim in Asteria and Neverlight in Erebos.

ley lines

Their planet's cardinal directions are based on ley lines which are created by subtle effects of other planets in their solar system.
The "orbits" or movement of other planets in relation to Cosmion are called etalons.

Each etalon shares a name with it's respective ley line on Cosmion.
