A cardigan is a type of sweater with an open front, worn similarly to a jacket. Cardigans typically feature buttons and long sleeves, however, a cardigan may have no fasteners, and rarely, they may lack sleeves.

Some furry characters who canonically wear cardigans include Toriel in Deltarune, Isabelle from Animal Crossing (who wears both sleeveless and sleeved cardigans), and Princess Carolyn from Bojack Horseman.

Note: a sleeveless cardigan should not be confused with a sweater vest, which is pulled over the wearer's head.
