adam's apple
An Adam’s apple is the bump at the front of the throat. It's more prominently found on males as it develops during puberty. Males typically have higher testosterone levels than females, so they also usually have larger Adam’s apples.
Some females can develop a larger Adam’s apple if she has high levels of testosterone, especially during puberty.
The name "Adam's" apple possibly come from the story of Adam and Eve in the Bible — where Adam ate an apple, the forbidden fruit, which became lodged in his throat.
