Oxxo is a Mexican chain of convenience stores that belongs to FEMSA, a beverage company.
Oxxo was founded in 1978 as a way to promote the beer brands of Cervecería Cuauhtémoc, a subsidiary of FEMSA. Oxxo offers a wide range of products and services, such as snacks, beverages, basic groceries, household items, ATMs, and bill payments.
Oxxo has more than 17,000 stores in Mexico and also operates in Colombia, Chile, Peru, and Brazil. Oxxo is the largest chain of convenience stores in Latin America and the seventh largest in the world by sales.
The name Oxxo comes from its original logo, which resembled a shopping cart.
Oxxo's slogan is "A la vuelta de tu vida" (Around the corner of your life) in Mexico and "Así de fácil" (That easy) in Chile, Colombia, and Peru
