screencap redraw
When a screencap is completely redrawn by the artist.
A screencap redraw will retain the overall composition, and pose of the character(s), from the screencap — while (usually) being drawn in the artist's style (instead of copying the style of the screencap's source), and often changing small elements of the scene, such as parts of the pose(s), the expression(s), and sometimes larger changes like drawing completely different characters in the place of the character's from the screenshot.
Screencaps often, but not always, feature a reference image of the original scene.
Not to be confused with...
- screencap edit, this is when the screencap is only edited, rather than being entirely redrawn
