Species: archangel
Archangels are the second-lowest rank of angel of the Third Sphere within the Hierarchy of Laguna. They frequently appear or are mentioned within various Abrahamic Faiths such as Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
The term Arch Angel meant Chief Angel. They ruled over and commanded the Angels, the lowest of all within the Hierarchy of Laguna. However they ranked lower than the Principalities and as member of the Third Sphere, their main function was to extend the will of God and Heaven unto Earth and Humanity as opposed to the Second and First Sphere who would more directly attended to God and the affairs of Heaven.
Generally speaking the three most universally recognized Archangels are:
- Michael (He who is like God) - The current strongest and leader of the Archangels. Destined to slay Satan during the End Days.
- Gabriel (He who is the power of God) - The Herald/Messenger of God. Destined to blow his Horn signaling the End of Days and the resurrection of the Dead.
- Raphael (He who is the healing of God) - Another Messenger of God. Travels the world delivering physical and spiritual healing to humans.
Other recognized archangels have included:
- Uriel (He who is the light of God) - The Guardian of the Garden of Eden.
- Jophiel (He who is the beauty of God) - The teacher of humanity.
- Ariel (She who is the lioness of God) - The preserver of nature.
- Sealtiel (He who is the intercessor of God) - The angel of prayer and piety.
- Jegudiel (He who is the glorifier of God) - The enabler of endeavors.
- Barachiel (He who is blessed by God) - The deliverer of blessings and gifts.
- Jerahmeel (He who is the mercy of God) - The presider of dreams and visions sent by God.
- Zadkiel (He who is the righteousness of God) - The angel of forgiveness.
- Camael (He who seeks God) - The angel of peace.
- Azrael (He who helps God) - The angel of death.
Additionally, while it is generally agreed upon that Lucifer was an immensely powerful angel rivaling that of Michael before he fell and became a demon, it is a common misconception that he was in fact an Archangel. Whether this means that he was a higher or lower rank than an Archangel is unknown.
