Birdos are dinosaur-like creatures that are greatly associated with Yoshis in various spinoffs of the Super Mario franchise. They come in a variety of colors and can spit eggs and fireballs out of their snout as projectiles. They first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 2 as bosses.

The most recognizable and recurring Birdo in the series is the pink Birdo who partners with the green Yoshi in competitive Mario games; suchs as Parties, Sports, and Go-Karting.
