Telekinesis — also known as psychokinesis, is the ability to manipulate matter through mind power, without physical interaction. In simple, practical terms, this means moving objects by thought. Telekinesis may be a form of magic, either innate to a magic user, the result of a cast spell, or magic projected through a staff, wand, or amulet, or be a "non-magical" psychic superpower that a character has.

Several fictional species from media, popular on e621, have innate telekinetic powers, such as multiple Pokemon (e.g. Espeon, Gardevoir, and Mewtwo), and the unicorns from My Little Pony. Telekinesis is also an ability that users of The Force from Star Wars have.

How Telekinesis May Be Depicted

• The character...
• may gesture towards the object they're moving or manipulating, sometimes miming the actions being done to the target
• may gesture towards their temples with their fingers, usually with an expression of deep concentration
• may have glowing eyes or a glowing hand while using telekinesis

• The object or individual being telekinetically manipulated...
• may have a glowing aura/outline, or sparkling/glowing particles around it/them
• may have a "beam" of psychic energy connecting them to the character's head or hands
• will usually levitate in midair
