This tag is used when a character is shown to be laughing, either by vocalized text (Hahaha, etc) or through use of expressions and gestures.
Categories
Forms of laughter
- giggling - Higher pitched noises, tends to represented by "He", rather than "Ha", but could also be tagged based on stereotypes.
- snickering - Laughter that tends to last a few seconds, and commonly as a form of ridicule. A character may try to hide the fact that they are snickering.
Laughter examples
Commonly take the form of a two letter vocalization: "Ha ha", "He he", "Hi hi" , "Oh ho ho", "Tee hee hee", but can take many other forms. Some languages have their own ways of depicting laughter.

Japanese
If ハハ is present in an image, it is most likely a laughing form of some sort. It is also common to use the letter w to indicate laughter. It is the Japanese representation of "LOL" (Laughing Out Loud).
