@Kemonophonic: @dba_afish: Thanks! =^.^=

Certainly a new experience. Windows 7 to Windows 11...

Thought MS got rid of MS Paint, but it's still here. Maybe it was sound recorder, which I have the Win XP one so it saves .wav and not crappy .wma.

Might wait till tomorrow to copy the recent laptop data over.

New laptop get!

Lenovo Legion

Old one was having issues with corrupt driver(s), so no working keyboard/mouse in Windows. Copied the data from my USB backup drive(530+ GB) to new one. Still need to get recent data off old laptop with a 2.5" SATA HD drive/SSD to USB adapter.

Also got USB hub, USB CD/DVD RW drive, and USB SD card reader/writer cause laptops don't come with them now.

=@.@=

Eh, im not so sure about that

I'm just now realizing that I also have always done this, my SFW account name is also <name><species> and now I'm doing nearly the same thing with dba_afish. except "dba" isn't a name, persay, just like a prefix. but still.

Popping back in for a bit to say 3 things

W0lfb3at5, your song sounds amazin!!!
Sorry for not interacting alot on blips anymore

And im leaving yall with a question.

Why do most, if not all, protogens have "____ the proto(gen)" as their name? And not just "____"

That’s awesome you have a private dentist.

As for mine, my local dentist knew me since 1998 since I was 6. And the fact they kept me on file for so long ever since we moved everywhere and finally back was amazing. I thought they would delete all of that to make room for others. Not keep it. 😅

I had not gone to the dentist for about a decade, that was until 3 weeks ago; I do not like going, as my last dentist was an overly excitable bunbun dipstick.

My new dentist is not so bad, in that she has an office Aussie Shepherd dog

that roughly approximates a very fluffy,
moderately friendly volleyball.

we need to go out for walkies;
the both of us.

A lot of walkies

@Grab-n-Stash: Just to clarify I didn't mean all music post-2000 was shit. There are a few good tracks.

Don't worry about it at this point. I just took it more personal than I should've. It felt like an insult to my tastes in music that I grew up with. I'm just used to seeing the black and white/all or none mentality on the internet that it was just what I was anticipating.

Today is the kind of day that makes me want to pick up customers and hurl them into the sun, but my arms are too nubby for that.

Same but change "customer" to "co-worker who threw a tantrum and resigned because they didn't like being told what to do by anyone so now I have to do their work as well as my own".

@Grab-n-Stash: I'm not trying to make an argument start again, just trying to explain why some people may think that way. There's always trash, I won't deny that. What I won't ever understand though is trashing music past a certain point with a broad brush. I grew up with some of the trash and the gold. I can offer my personal bad music list from the 2000s to the 2010s, but it won't ever be all of it.

I was just thinking recently, a little while after I tried to speed past the music discussion to avoid a nose dive, I've felt I had gotten a better understanding on the dislikes of some older/current music. While some of it may do with the quailty, I think a decent chunk of it may be what you hear as you grow up (the music could just be good, but hear me out). How often are you looking back at a song because you were younger at the time and it brought back memories or it was a good first impression for a genre you would grow to love over the years? I'm not saying all of it's rose tinted glasses, more so that you hold the idea of how the people back then with that genre made that music and how now it doesn't feel the same or almost hits the mark. That's why some people would call the new stuff garbage and eventually give up on listening to radio. There could be a gem among the pile if you look. I should know, I was from the 2000s and there was and still will be (some) good music.

very different. First, there's the issue of language, most people I interact with irl don't primarily speak english. Also, I speak a lot more here, not sure of the reason, it's just true.

I think the reason may be simpler than you think. I'm guessing it's not having to be face to face or making eye contact with someone that may make online conversation easier than in person, or at the very least more appealing. I know that's the case for some people and why people may be more willing to be open online than in person. That and the anonymity aspect on most internet forums/social media.

Damn. Did the dentist judge you like most dentist’s do? Just to make you feel self-conscious about your teeth?

Does anyone here type similar to how they would speak in public or is it the opposite or somewhere in between?

And, there's the fact that my voice tends to betray me, so even if/when I try to speak the same way, things like stuttering won't let me be understood.

Awesome man! Thanks!

Also, I’ll be releasing my second album, along with THIS song, on the 28th of June. So in two weeks.

@W0LFB3AT5: Only listened to a little bit of it for now, but I will say that it reminds me of when people were making remixes of the home depot theme from those ads (that's a compliment). It's almost exactly what I expected so far, especially with the beginning part of the song using the theme and transitioning into the music. Vaporwave is usually a hit or miss for me though, so I might not listen to the whole thing.

I understand that it isn’t for everyone. But still happy you took a quick listen. Thanks!

@Grab-n-Stash:
I'm definitely much more confident and articulate when typing words on the internet than when speaking in real life. I feel like I speak with the same amount of formality, if only a little bit more casual here. And in terms of what I talk about, I'm more open to all kinds of horny and nerdy topics when on the internet.
Though, these are all probably just because I don't talk to people a lot in real life, unless I really need to.

@W0LFB3AT5:
Yay, congrats on the completion, man! The battery is fully charged!

And just in case I get that one guy, I don't mean like saying emoticons, emojis or owo/uwu out loud in public spaces. I mean more of are you more bold on here and softspoken off the internet?

I think I tend to speak pretty similarly on here as how I speak in real life. also, I do try to type in such a way that it reads more or less how I'd actually say the sentence in real life.

I think the only, like, notable diffrence is just due to the delayed nature of text posts itself. mainly, that I have a lot more time to realize that _no one_ in the room is going to get the reference I was about to make to that mid-aughts flash webseries, or that random sub-10k view YTP, or whatever other random piece of media only I remember, so I can stop myself from posting it.
