A situation in which someone communicates a desire (asks) to cease an activity usually in the form of a request / command.

This is not entirely the same concept as explicitly_stated_nonconsent, which is heavily associated with activities that should require consent namely activities that they are doing to someone directly. Non-interactive activities are largely excluded from the concept.
