Came across a sticker on someone's car that had me do a double take. It was a green ufo with the text "Get in loser, we're doing butt stuff."

SONY does the same thing except with a serif font.

but at least there's no real ambiguity as to who it's for. better than having something like Patreon's current tiny inkstain logo that occasionally looks like a weird splotch on a character or the Epic Games Store's weird DS game cart-looking rectangle with text that is just completely unrecognizable when shown at the end of a trailer, y'know, just its most important application.

Good point, yeah. The mark being just a text automatically makes it recognizable, and kinda timeless as well, so it doesn't have to be redesigned into an unfamiliar or even indistinguishable form.

It's one reason why I plan to sign "daleport996" on my art, instead of just the conjoined dp'96 signature.

Thinking about drawing some of those silly balloon monkey creatures. Maybe Benjamin, since I use him the most, or boomerang monkey. Or both.

I like how most companies have some kind of logo, or have a design integrated into their wordmark. And then Panasonic is just,

Fucking AI image coloring books are now a thing.

We are getting lazy these upcoming years. Either that, or we’re doomed…

question: if i add repeats of the same tag, are they automatically removed? im thinking of going through the tagging checklist and just tagging entire images, but i fear tags would duplicate and something like if i dont visually catch it. anthro anthro male male would show up.

Pretty sure duplicate tags are removed. I tagged some posts a while back with the same tag by mistake because I didn't check what was already tagged and I didn't see anything duplicated on my end, but just avoid my mistake of not double checking and I think you'll be fine.

@dba_afish: I get what you mean, but when I think of "dead" music, I think of genres that are so niche that only indie bands/artists make that kind of music. Country is more like a zombie that doesn't realize it is one and thinks things are better than ever. The music is way too similar with no variety of the instruments, like they're forced to use specific ones. Variety is the sauce, the spice everyone needs in their life (although there will be some exceptions), and the country I hear now doesn't have enough of that. I would say something about lyrics/themes, but I'm sure if someone checked my playlist, I would have that thrown right back at me. Even in my younger years, I never had a country song catch my attention in any way other than "change the station" although that somewhat changed with some music from Falout:NV. Doesn't mean I'll go out of my way to listen to them though, except for "Big Iron" if that song's considered country. If it isn't, ignore that comment.

honestly, in my opinion, country largely died with Johnny Cash. there are a few half-decent to pretty great releases since then (from memory I can really only think of Old Town Road) but country has probably been hit the hardest by the trend towards generification we see in, like, "radio music" (with modern pop not being far behind).

that being said, if it did die with Cash, it did kind of go out on a high note, with his cover of Trent Reznor's ''Hurt'' being one of the greatest songs of all fucking time.

I was debating on bringing something like this up so there wouldn't be a 2.0 of when I was discussing music before where a lot of people, myself included got heated by the end, but I'm curious if I'm the only one thinking this. Where I work there was reruns of the same hour of country music 4 times total from the weekend. Two from the morning and two more after my lunch on Sat/Sun. One thing that really bugged me was one of the country tracks had the lyrics "country is cool again." Now I'm not sure if I just have my head in the sand, but I feel like this year, country lovers are eating good compared to other years. Even Beyonce's put her finger in the country pie (which could be a topic for another time.) I'm not the biggest fan of the yeehaw tracks myself, but even then I would be lying through my teeth saying country "died" or wasn't "cool." Years prior I still heard country at my work although not as often as I do now. Am I just biased on this or is it actually the case?

Pacing is the word, next time its better to start with smaller joggings, the human body is very lazy when you have these type of hiatus, sigh...

what happened to fa?

the site's URL got hijacked by a hacker on the 21st, and the twitter account got taken over not too long after

fortunately they were able to get the site back, none of the core database got affected, and the @furaffinity handle got sniped by a fur who goes by whanos after the hacker changed it to "ilikekiwis", so everything should be back to normal now, but boy was that a hectic 48 hours we had
